Refund & Cancellation Policy
How cancellations, rescheduling, deposits, and refunds work at Keen Roofing.
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains what happens if you cancel an inspection, postpone a project, or request a refund from Keen Roofing Inc. Your signed proposal or contract for a specific job will control if it includes different payment or cancellation terms.
We try to be fair and clear. Roofing work involves crew scheduling, material orders, and weather windows, so timing matters for both sides.
Free inspections and quotes
Our standard on-site inspections and estimates are free and carry no obligation. You can cancel or reschedule an inspection appointment at any time by calling (437) 236-3045 or emailing estimate@keenroofing.ca.
If you miss an appointment without notice, we may ask you to rebook for the next available slot. There is still no charge for a standard inspection.
Cancelling or rescheduling a booked project
Once you approve a proposal and book a start date, we reserve crew time and may order materials. Please give us as much notice as possible if plans change.
- More than 7 days before the start date: you may cancel or reschedule without a cancellation fee in most cases. Any unused deposit is refundable or transferable to a new date.
- Within 7 days of the start date: we may keep a reasonable portion of the deposit to cover scheduling losses and non-refundable material costs already incurred. We will explain any retained amount in writing.
- After work has started: cancellation means you remain responsible for labour completed, materials used or specially ordered, disposal fees, and temporary protection needed to leave the property weather-tight.
Weather delays, unsafe site conditions, or supply issues on our side are not treated as customer cancellations. We will rebook the next suitable date at no penalty to you.
Deposits
Larger projects may require a deposit to secure the schedule and materials. Deposit amounts and due dates appear in your proposal or contract.
Unused deposit funds are refunded according to the cancellation timelines above, minus any documented costs we have already paid on your behalf (for example, special-order materials that cannot be returned).
Refunds for completed work
Payment for completed and accepted work is generally final. If something is wrong with our workmanship, contact us right away. We will inspect the issue and, where covered by our workmanship warranty or the project agreement, repair it at no charge.
Refunds are not typically issued for completed installations that meet the agreed scope. Manufacturer material defects are handled under the manufacturer's warranty process, and we will help you with documentation when needed.
Change orders and unused scope
If you reduce the scope after work begins, we will adjust the invoice for unfinished items that were not started and for materials we can return or reuse. Materials already installed, cut, or specially ordered may not be refundable.
Added work is priced through a written change order before we proceed, except for urgent safety measures required to protect the building.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Email or call us with:
- Your name and property address
- The scheduled service date
- Whether you want to cancel or reschedule
- Any deposit or invoice reference you have
Phone: (437) 236-3045
Email: estimate@keenroofing.ca
We aim to confirm cancellations quickly and process eligible refunds within 10 to 15 business days to the original payment method when possible.
Emergency and storm work
Emergency tarping and storm stabilization may be billed once the protective work is done, even if permanent repairs are cancelled later. That temporary work protects the home and cannot be undone.
